Philip vd Worm

Team Farmer ( Owner )

Philip was born in 1984, and Taree Farm has been on his mind since then. From a young age he would visit the farm for long periods of time. He was born in Johannesburg and his parents moved to Vryburg ( a town 220 km from Taree Farm ) in 1991._He matriculated at Potchefstroom Gimnasium before spending two years overseas. Upon return, he joined his grandfather PJ Van Rooyen on Taree Farm. Philip is now married and has three children. It is only in the last couple of years after doing time and motion studies as well as keeping records of the natural grazing on Taree Farm that Philip started to realize that the value not necessary the quantity of grazing has deteriorated dramatically. This led him to realize that it would have to improve if he would like to see his children farming on Taree Farm in the future.  Philip is passionate when it comes to farming, and he never gets tired of learning about the veld and about ways to improve it. He could be best described as an amiable, straightforward, no-nonsense, innovative farmer with whom people like to work.

Tapelo Ditseko

Cattle Grazier

Tapelo was born in Bray, and spent most of his childhood time with his parents Fox and Magdelena. He attended school in Bray. His father was passionate about gardening and was a proud employee at Taree Farm for 20 years. He was a meticulous guy and always knew exactly where and how all his equipment was stored. His mother also worked at Taree Farm for 17 years.

It was during this time that Tapelo developed a bond with the farm and started to learn more about being meticulous from his father.Tapelo has a family of four and apart from taking care of them he really enjoys working with animals and animal systems. Tapelo is also very excited to be part of a team that emphasizes the necessity of recuperating degraded land, and it is this that gives him joy as he maintains necessary systems and manages daily tasks.
